TCM: Fennel is considered warm and sweet, affecting the Spleen, Kidney, Liver, and Stomach meridians.
Ayurvedic: In Ayurveda, fennel is seen as sweet and slightly cooling, balancing the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas.
TCM Uses: Fennel is used to warm the Kidneys, dispel cold, and alleviate pain. It also supports digestive health and treats abdominal distension.
Common Folk Uses: Fennel is widely used for its digestive benefits, helping to relieve bloating, gas, and indigestion. It is also used as a galactagogue to enhance milk production in breastfeeding mothers.

Dosage:
Aqueous Decoction: 1-2 teaspoons of crushed fennel seeds per cup of water, simmered for 10-15 minutes. Drink up to three times a day.
